Katherine Conte, MA, ERYT, C-IAYT

 

Katherine Conte, MA, ERYT, C-IAYT is an expert guide in natural health and personal development . With 20+ years of teaching and advanced studies in yoga therapy, plant-based nutrition, mindfulness, and movement theories her focus is on helping people regain health and discover and live their innate purpose in life. Katherine is trained in Dr. Dean Ornish’s Lifestyle Medicine protocol and is the Stress Management Specialist at the Ornish Heart Disease Reversal Program with the Lifespan Team. She earned an MA in Art Therapy, is a certified yoga therapist (CIAYT), a Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist (American Psychological Association Approved) and is a facilitator of  Unified Mindfulness, Macrobiotics Counseling, Overcome Anxiety Clinics (OAnx), and Hanna Somatic Yoga.

Katherine takes the rich tools of natural healing and yoga into health care and research-based programs. She is the yoga investigator for an NCCHI  funded study for Treatments for Improving Mood Disorders in Teens and a consultant for Yoga for Chronic Pain in MAT Patients.

Katherine founded and directed Focus Yoga (East Greenwich, RI), from 2006-2015. She developed and  lead wellness programs, plant-based nutrition trainings and cooking classes, and a wealth of yoga trainings including: The Science & Practice of Breath; Stress Management: a Natural Approach; and, Eat Life! Plant-Based Nutrition Made Easy.

Whether she’s mentoring private clients or corporate groups, Katherine’s strength is leading with clarity and creativity that encourages self awareness and inspires meaningful change.  Workshops and lectures are available for private or corporate groups. Her private practice is based in Rhode Island.
