Starts Feb 4, (til Feb 5) meets every Saturday 11:30a for approx 75 minutes
Learn to eat for vibrant health and enjoyment. This intense program will offer a very wide perspective view on health & nutrition. You will learn to evaluate what to eat based season, personal condition, and the energetics of food. Expect to be challenged and learn much about yourself. Come with a willingness to discover habits that might be an obstacle to your health and well being. The program includes an unlimited 30-day yoga pass, weekly meetings, a copy of the Self Healing Cookbook, a participant blog, a cooking demo, and mind-opening information and perspective on health
and "diet".
The group will also have the option to participate in Whole Foods Market's Health Starts Here! program. focus has been invited to help launch their 28-day challenge! (waiting on more info for that program) All welcome!

Laughology & Laughter Yoga

Watch, Learn & Experience Laugh away the winter blues! “Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.” -Victor Hugo Join Laughter Yoga & Meditation Leader, Chris Belanger, for an enlightening look at the uniting and healing power of Laughter. Our afternoon will begin with some gentle movement before a screening of the documentary, Laughology the first ever feature documentary on the topic of Laughter – by Canadian filmmaker Albert Nerenberg. This “screamingly funny” film is chuck full of facts, research and interesting tales of the best medicine – Laughter. There will definitely be a many giggles along the way. Following the film Chris will lead a Laughter Yoga session, full of simple and playful “exercises” that promote laughter. You will pump up your energy level, elevate your mood, boost your immune system, increase your heart rate, oxygenate the blood & lungs, reduce stress, and invite more joy & happiness into your life.
All are welcome – no experience needed! A flexible mind is the only flexibility needed!
Chris Belanger is a certified Laughter Yoga Leader. He has shares the healing and energizing power of Laughter throughout southern New England. He has written, and been featured in, numerous articles on Laughter Yoga. Chris is also a Kripalu Yoga instructor, Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga teacher and Yoga Nidra Guide and Yoga for Vets Teacher. modern adaptation of Yoga Nidra- the science of deep
rest and restoration, that can calm the nervous system,
release negative emotions and thought patterns,
overcome anxiety, fear and depression and develop the
capacity to meet any circumstance you may encounter
in life. It is simple to learn and easy to practice and can
become a valuable lifetime tool.
Kendall Sheldon comes from a family of yogis; both her mother and
uncle continue to teach today. She was certified by the Kripalu Center in
1980, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Center in 1994 and holds a 500 hour
advanced professional teaching certificate from the Yoga Alliance. She is
the founding teacher of the All That Matters yoga program, which started
in 1995. In 2009 she completed the Advanced Training in Integrative
Restoration, iRest®, with Richard Miller, Ph.D. of the Center for Timeless
Being, and in 2011 Essential Low Back Care Training with Robin Rothenberg
of the Viniyoga Tradition.
